| 1117810 | 2010-07-11 06:30:00 | I found a reference to: Ad-Aware 2007 Service - in Services (local) under Component Services, in Control Panel. But I uninstalled Ad-Aware over 18 months ago. Though listed as disabled (I can't recall how I disabled it if I did), there is no obvious "title" reference in the startup menus (i.e. in msconfig/autoruns from sysinternal), and has never shown up in ccleaner, HiJack This, malwarebytes, spybot, avast, etc from numerous scans I did. Any ideas how to eliminate this reference? Thanks. |

Then use ccleaner's registry option to remove the rest of it Thanks - never thought of doing a simple auto/manual search and found a adware folder, a IE adware browser shortcut, and adware plugins attached to two bart pe boot up/builder files. Then deleted than removed registry fragments as you suggested. |
