+ and = are symbols,I have yet to see them other than extremely small.

I have a brand new keyboard and it only produces eye wincing symbols.

www.ecalc.com

Or is it you mean that your new keyboard only types small symbols, or that the symbols on the keyboard are too small ?

Of course it could just be your age, try larger fonts or get new glasses :)

Windows XP Calculator, I assume?

(Windows 7's calculator is remarkably different)

830907 2009-11-17 06:57:00 On the other hand, the built in M$ calculator accessory, has probably got smaller and smaller with each new Windows version and as screen resolutions have increased....like with Solitaire.

Back in Win3.1 days, 14" screens and 640x480 resolutions, the Solitaire cards filled the screen. The program is little changed today and the cards are minute, though there is a cards.dll that will give big cards.

Likewise if you remember DOS based Windows 1.0, the Calculator filled the whole screen, nowadays it is a tiny little pad with correspondingly small symbols.

830908 2009-11-17 07:05:00 Obviously you haven't seen Windows Vista's version of Solitaire. The cards stretch to fill the screen horizontally. pcuser42 (130)
