| 830845 | 2009-11-17 00:38:00 | Received offer from Xtra of choice of Microsoft Wireless Bundle or set of Sennheiser headphones to stay with them for another 12 months. Anbody know what model of headphones they are "giving" away and are they worth the $199 early termination fee if I chose to end contract? Cheers |

I'd say either "present" will not be worth enduring the Termination Fee :). |

I got a MS wireless desktop for $29.95 from warehouse, reduced from $70, so you can get good deals for those things, but do you actually need them. Probably cost telecom almost nothing to give you those, things, but they will sting you for a termination fee if you do switch. Perhaps that is where they make their money. | robbyp (2751) | ||

"when competition means you will probably get a better deal else where in the future." wasn't that what everyone thought Xnet was going to be? Any better deal will probably take a while to prove that it can cope with the fast jumpers that will overload it :D |

Orcon still don't have any penalty for switching. If there is constant problems with an ISP, eg lots of outages and slow periods, they can waive the early termination fee if you complain. |

The 12 month contract with Xnet didn't last very long, they've gone back to having no minimum length contract (I noticed the announcment on my bill a couple of months ago.) |
