829405 2009-11-12 04:11:00 Planning on getting Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 but i havent played COD 4 MW 1.

Will i miss much in terms of storyline if i go straight to WF 2 ? Is the plot continuing or totally different in 2?

Also i got PS3 and PC. Which is better experience - PC or PS3 ?

Cheers

829406 2009-11-12 05:05:00 It is a continuation of the story from MW1, however it will still make sense on its own, just the significance of some of the characters may be lost.

As long as your PC can handle playing it then get it for pc, the same game for much less money with a far superior control scheme.

829407 2009-11-12 09:46:00 Does it require steam(ing pile of ****)?

because if it does, I won't be buying it.

You can buy it on steam or you can buy it in stores, your choice. I'll be getting it on DVD though. And on PC. There's nothing worse than a console FPS.

829409 2009-11-12 11:13:00 Yeah but does the DVD version require you to install Steam anyway? Agent_24 (57)
829410 2009-11-12 18:57:00 Sadly yes it does require steam.

It is an awesome game though.

Was incredibly annoyed at this, infact there is no word vulgar and harsh enough to express my utter disgust about this fact.

Bought the game went home with high expectations, started installing fine then *bam* along comes that piece of crap steam client 'updater'.
I figured that being a new game there would be no patches to download, or only 1 or 2 very small ones.
It sat 'Updating Steam Client' for a good 5-10 minutes without doing anything, then the percentage said it was at 33% though the progress bar hadn't moved. Moments later it went back to 0%. Then began jumping from 0-33%-66% and back again.
I sat watching this dance for quite sometime without seeing any progress and came to the conclusing that this was an utterly useless piece of ****ing crap.

Never bothered with finishing installing - the game has now joined the pile of failed games in my room. (Fantastic waste of $120)

And back to World of Warcraft... hmmmmm :D

I guess I'll be pirating this one - wait, what?

Did your anti-piracy tool just force me to pirate the game to stop myself getting a massive headache?

Why yes, it did. How Ironic.

Thats the problem, the only people anti-piracy software keeps out are the genuine ones, it ends up punishing them :(.
