| 1117768 | 2010-07-11 06:01:00 | No, that's the 465 which is a scaled down GTX 470/480. The GTX 460 uses a new GPU core (GF104) which is meant to be more efficient than the original Fermi cards (465/470/480). Yes, it is that confusing:). The 460 is considerably cheaper than the 465 in the US ~$50-$80US, and some reports suggest it will match the 465 in performance, though that remains to be seen. The 460 should start appearing in online retailers here in the next few days/weeks. Also note that there are two models, one with 1GB memory and a 256 bit memory bus, the other with 768MB/192 bit bus -about $30US between the two. I'm looking forward to see how they'll be priced here in good ole' enzed. | Active (15098) | ||
| 1117769 | 2010-07-11 06:17:00 | so would the 460 1gb match or come close to the 5850 1gb? | smithinator (15240) | ||
| 1117770 | 2010-07-11 06:32:00 | There should be reviews out on it in a day or two. Keep an eye on Anandtech, Guru3d, Hardwarecanucks etc. for some good, thorough reviews. Until it's tested it's just speculation. | Active (15098) | ||
| 1117771 | 2010-07-11 07:34:00 | And we will still be talking about a new card weeks or months from now. | Snorkbox (15764) | ||
