| 1118269 | 2010-07-12 11:44:00 | Light gaming perhaps. I looked at a similar pc, and I settled on the laptop in my sig. It runs left for dead 2 at lowish settings with decent frames, and can handle other games ok-ish too. Just don't expect to be able to have flashy anti aliasing or high resolutions on a laptop unless you go for something around the 16-2000 dollar mark. |

But laptops aren't really designed for gaming. Serious gamers use desktops. I also wouldn't buy an HP either. Toshiba or ASUS. |

| 1118274 | 2010-07-13 14:15:00 | If you game with a laptop it will kill the battery really quickly, even if you're doing the most basic of games. How many hours are you going to be without power? notebooks can generally last anywhere from 2-3 at low range to 5 or 6 at the best, but generally battery life is not something that people often consider. Netbooks can generally last a fair bit longer than notebooks can, but at reduced performance, and still, if you try to game on them, they'll cut the battery down something fierce (if they run on the minimal specs anyway). Macs are reported to have brilliant battery life, so maybe you should look into one of them instead? |
