1117501 2010-07-10 03:53:00 As a matter of intrest, is there a specific file that holds the details of your email account settings?

I have transfered the pst files etc from one pc to a new installation and opened the programme to find the account setting are empty.

If need be I can manualyy reenter them but I'd rather do it the easy way
cheers

1117502 2010-07-10 04:23:00 Open Outlook and tell it to create a new Email acccount. With a little info it will go search for the settings. There is no file that holds this info. It's not in the PST file. Snorkbox (15764)
1117503 2010-07-10 04:25:00 Generally when backing up the .pst file, the accounts are not included (damn stupid idea) Usually I just reenter them manually.

Did find this program (www.backsettings.com) a short while ago, but never used it.

Just a word of warning - Make the account before you import the old .pst file, seen it happen many times where people imported the pst, then when you make an account, you they end up with two of everything - 2x Inboxes, sent items, deleted etc.
