Fair enough, smoking does cause a disgusting build up on surfaces.. It would be similar to having your computer located in your bathroom, where it gets subjected to steam, and hence gets damaged from that.

You can see the dust build up from non smoking related air. Smoking related buildup must be terrible, so good on apple.

smokers are entitled to warranty as are drinkers. But when you start spilling your drink over your computer it soon voids it. From what I read it had nothing to do with the fact that the owner is a smoker, it boiled down to the fact that the internals were smoked damaged (correct me if I read that wrong).
Much the same as your new car warranty would be void if your engine over heated and siezed because the radiator was split from a stone.
EDIT..

Would PCtech or wainuitech be honouring the warranty in the same circumstances where the damage was caused by the user?
