1,A bat and a ball cost $1 . 10 . The bat costs $1 more than the ball . How much does the ball cost?

2, If it takes five machines five minutes to make five widgets, how long will it take 100 machines to make 100 widgets?

3,In a lake, there is a patch of lily-pads, Every day, the patch doubles in size . If it takes 48 days t cover the lake, how long would take to cover half?

4,Jack is looking at Janeand jane is looking at George; Jack is married, George is not . Is a married person looking at an un-married person? Yes, no or cannot be determined?

Take a dollar away from the prices. You are left with ten cents. Thats five cents for each item. Add a dollar onto the bat.

Trick question, it says a dollar more.

Ball = 0.05
Bat = 1.05

Total = Bat + Ball
1.10 = 1.05 + 0.5
Bat = 0.05 + 1

Hope you can follow... I don't think I am making any sense, but atleast I gave it a shor.
