At a modest 1600x900 you will have to turn down eye candy in some games esp Crysis with a 5770 GPU. As above consider knocking back your processor to a I5 and beefing up your video card if gaming is your main focus. I used to have 1 5770 and with the cpu in my sig i can only manage around 27-30 FPS on max settings in crysis (anti-aliasing off tho..) |

| 1118981 | 2010-07-16 09:03:00 | So what Fps do you get now with two 5770s?? on the same settings I think from memory, around 45-50, anti-aliasing on 2X.....Haven't played for aaaages...uni is too busy.. :( CPU is bottle necking here, but my PSU is not beefy enough to OC so I couldn't OC to test...:( my mate had a core i7 with a asus rampage mobo and a 270GTX, then he got another 270GTX again..he told me that his CPU is bottle necking as well (which is weired, i thought core i7s are real powerful??) , but after some OCing he got pretty much doubled the FPS out of his SLI...:drool |
