833691 2009-11-26 01:02:00 There two schools of thought on climate change,we will all have chosen one.

I have chosen the one that goes along with this...............

Quite an important subject, you will agree.

833693 2009-11-26 01:35:00 Could do with some Global warming here. Lit the fire again this morning. Cold and windy.
It's been colder the last 2 summers than when we first moved here.

833694 2009-11-26 01:36:00 Unfortunately there is not enough factual evidence to fully support either side of the fence.

Very much like the existance of a God or Supreme being.

The fact that some scientists seem to fudge figures does not help either.

The site you link to says one thing at the top that I fully agree with which is "The debate is NOT over"

I will, however, go on record here as saying that I currently believe that the climate does change but I don't think that is man made and I don't think that people change the climate in any form that can be measured.

There are things we can do like more solar power, geothermal power, hybrid cars, planting more trees and the like.

But if people can really change the climate then we may as well believe that we should have rainmakers in areas that are stricken by drought or big pipelines to convey water from floods to other areas that need water.

If anyone can change my mind on this then feel free to produce the evidence as I still have an open mind.

Yes there is.

The world isn't warming.

Therefore there is no 'global warming'.

Not much more to say about it really.

Sigh.

It was called "global warming" at one time but now it's called "climate change".

I expect the climate will change where I live tomorrow. It may be warmer or it may be cooler.

I can't change whatever happens tomorrow as the matter is beyond my control or expertise.

I can't even promise not to emit methane from my anus tomorrow.

That's because they realised the world wasn't warming as they hoped it would do :)

You may get taxed for doing so in the not-too-distance future! Or you'll have to plant a tree to offset your emissions.

Don't want to know how many trees I need to plant for today then.....

This may be something from which science never fully recovers, and it discredits all scientists. When it was just a few oddballs acting fraudulently, like the Piltdown Man affair, or the Frog with his dilute solutions fraud, it didn't matter much, but this is the stuff of world wide conspiracy, and New World Order..........
