833294 2009-11-25 02:16:00 Hi Guys

I use Firefox and Outlook Express.

I have often though about ditching Outlook as it is so clunky.

Do many of you use Thunderbird ?

It looks like it has some nice features.

I am particularly looking for better Grouping.

Any downsides to it ?

833295 2009-11-25 02:40:00 Ive had to rescue about 8-12 peoples mail over the last 6 months when Thunderbird turned turtle and died, completely corrupting.

But on saying that lots of people use it without problems.

833296 2009-11-25 02:56:00 I use Outlook on my work computer, because it is part of the Office suite. However, I use Thunderbird on the family computer because it is free. I have had no problems with it - it has been problem free since I installed it >1yr <2 yrs ago. John H (8)
833297 2009-11-25 03:17:00 Outlook ≠ Outlook Express.

I use Thunderbird without problems.

833298 2009-11-25 03:49:00 I don't use an email client at all. All my email is handled via webmail. KiwiTT_NZ (233)
833299 2009-11-25 03:59:00 I use T'bird, though for the last few days been playing with Windows Live Mail coz it's a toy and I'm a boy, but now that the novelty has (thoroughly!) worn off I'm deleting it and going back to T'bird. allblack (6574)

833301 2009-11-25 05:22:00 I'm still using Mozilla's built in email (pre T'Bird). Never been a problem, and it's held a zillion emails. Paul.Cov (425)
833302 2009-11-25 05:25:00 T'bird problem free so far. Only for the last 6 years though. (Or whenever it came out first.) R2x1 (4628)
833303 2009-11-25 09:19:00 Yes - it's the only mail client I use. And no - no problems. I back-up regularly.

Can't speak for the Win version - but the Linux version for me has been flawless.
