Just a wide open space with sunshine almost every day. If they let people out there with deck chairs, the first class seats would be empty, and revenues would plummet. | R2x1 (4628) | ||
2009-11-27 22:23:00 | Damn Airlines, theyre always trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Whats worse, theyre all in collusion and come up with the same excuses. I once asked if I could sit on the wing, (there was a door just there) but they came up with some feeble excuse of there being 200 knot headwinds and they didnt want to ruffle my hair. I guess it might have blown the froth off my beer also. Excuses, excuses, nothing but excuses, where will it all end?

2009-11-27 22:43:00 | Sitting on the wing is usually OK it's trying to use the tail fin toilet that can be a problem apparently the -50c temperatures cause things to drop off. I have been told by aircrews things falling off can be a hazard to civillians | gary67 (56) | |
2009-11-27 23:58:00 | Good point Gary. I certainly cant see OSH approving falling, frozen appendages. However, if we can produce more greenhouse gasses and push the atmosphere up a bit it wont be so damn cold sitting out there on the wing. I think compulsory vegetarian diets would be the answer.

2009-11-28 00:36:00 | I am sure there are clowns who would like punish climate change skeptics. If there is warming bring it on then pctech in sudland will be able to grow tomatoes outside like rest of nz.

2009-11-28 00:38:00 | Something is changing - yesterday was fine and quite warm. I got sunburnt a bit. Today, it is quite a different picture, so I will avoid sunburn two ways. No sun, and I'm staying inside. That is the way to fox climate change -use both barrels.

2009-11-28 01:24:00 | Maybe some of the supporters of the Global Warming debate could explain this: As I buzz along at 30,000+ feet the aeroplanes flight information tells me its -50C outside . Now the reason it isnt -50C at ground level is thanks to the atmosphere, so Im told and I have no reason to disbelieve this . Then, were told it is the greenhouse gasses that are the insulating factor in the atmosphere . So, does it not follow that if we reduce these in the proportions being recommended we should freeze to death, instead of enjoying 2C warmer temperatures and a 50mm higher tide? Its enough to make a man break wind . :( I don't follow your logic . If you remove *all* greenhouse gases then, yes, we will all freeze to death, but I am not aware of anyone wanting to do that . Why do you believe that reducing "these in the proportions being recommended" will cause us to freeze to death"? And please don't break wind . It will just make things worse .
