The parcel I am working on costs GBP 1 . 68 to post to NZ fast airmail . At the current exchange rate of $ 2 . 77 I think that comes to $ 4 . 65 . To post the same parcel to the UK (what I need to do) it is $8 . 77 for the fast rate ! ! That is nearly twice the price ! And not only that British wages are much higher than ours, so it will require less of their hourly rate to post my parcel . So unless I have got my maths wrong (a possibility) then we are being really ripped off . We use the same planes to fly both ways and aviation gas is probably the same all over the world . |
