1119799 2010-07-17 19:54:00 when chatting with someone over a webcam, if im listening to music or something and they have their microphone on, my music volume really decreases, any way to stop that? nerd (109)

Driving and cellphones don't mix either.

Lurking.

1119803 2010-07-18 00:55:00 Maybe abit of info may help.

What type of Audio setup? (you can normally adjust in there, but without knowing what type it is the settings would only be guessing) heres an example (www.imagef1.net.nz) -- I can change the volume of Messenger Via the audio setting - It says phone, but does work with Messenger as well.

Extra details may help:

What Chat program are you using ?

Using headphones or just speakers ?

BUT Lurkings statement also rings true
when chatting with someone over a webcam
who wants to hear people talking

So you sit there web cam on in silence-- real boring. If you dont want to hear someone talk then simply mute the voice.
