833937 2009-11-26 22:34:00 Anyone else finding their XT phone reports no reception?

We have two in this house and both have no service. I called Telecom and got a message saying there is a fault which may cause "some" XT mobile customers to have connection issues, and that at this stage they have "no further information"...

833942 2009-11-27 07:14:00 Can't get a peep here, but I don't have one of their phones, so that is a possible cause. Unlikely to be fixed in the foreseeable future. ;) R2x1 (4628)

Time you got cheaper texts. 1c/text is a much better deal than 2°'s rip off. ;)

833944 2009-11-27 07:59:00 Even if they paid me to send txt messages, I would not be suffering their slings and arrows.
Two reasons, the provider and the product.
Marginal coverage at work, just like Vodafone, and poor at home. If I have to move to use a cellphone, the priorities are a bit skewed. (I have a Vodem, that is enough misery by wireless for anyone.) 2 deg works where I go. Others don't.
If I deal with Telecom I get annoyed and ripped off; we already pay a government to do that, Telecom is unnecessary.

For me it's the other way around.
