833364 2009-11-25 02:32:00 A customs street car park in downtown auckland has been the target of credit card skimmers:

tvnz.co.nz

Anyone been a victim of skimming here? Anyone know the name of the car parking building?

833365 2009-11-25 02:39:00 The name of the building is in the article.

I don't go to Auckland so therefore I will not be on the list of affected people.

833367 2009-11-25 04:55:00 Wasnt me

Down here in chch people just smash the windows in our cars, car park buildings are for the people who wear suits and drive the latest european cars. Music in elevators is a rare occurance. The only people who would bother ripping people off are to wasted by the time everyone else has parked their car up and no one uses credit cards anyway. We deal in coinage found in our glove boxes.

Not sure what my point is

833368 2009-11-25 05:19:00 Any money the skimmers get after the parking building fees have been paid will be a clear message to management that parking prices must rise. R2x1 (4628)
833369 2009-11-26 01:03:00 i wonder why westpac is only working with the police though. what about the other banks? lance4k (4644)
833370 2009-11-26 01:10:00 Well it might be that the Westpac bank is the only bank involved.

Or the Westpac Bank has an employee with access to the database.

Or simply the other banks were involved but that fact was not reported which may be more likely.
