1121171 2010-07-22 01:05:00 Friend received PDF,when using the Ctr A,Ctr C, Open word and Ctr V technique, the format was changed.

Is this avoidable?

Original was in lined columns, lines etc disappeared in word.

1121172 2010-07-22 01:16:00 There are various paste options in Word as in keeping formatting or not etc.

Which version of Word?

Edit: If that doesn't work, how about trying a file converter?

From what I've seen, depending on formatting, it works all right. Some of the time.

1121174 2010-07-22 03:48:00 It's more dependent on whether the PDF reader your friend uses supports rich text formatting for the data placed on the Clipboard. By default Word should use the formatted data instead of the plain text if both are registered on the Clipboard MushHead (10626)

1121176 2010-07-22 04:18:00 Hmm.

Just tried it with Foxit (v3.1.2) here & the only "Paste Special" options in Word [2003] were "Unformatted Text" & "Unformatted Unicode Text" after doing a copy of an entire document with formatting - tables, graphics, font changes, etc. Same result on smaller areas - just did a raw text copy every time.

Don't have Acrobat Reader installed any more, so not sure whether that does any better.
