1121003 2010-07-21 13:29:00 Hi guys,
I'm looking at getting a new motherboard, and I've narrowed it down to a few.
Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P
DFI LanParty DK 790X-M2RS
ASRock AOD790GX/128M
Foxconn A7DA-S

Does anyone know if can rule any of them out through manufacturer reputation, or even which is the best option?

Thanks for any help.

1121004 2010-07-21 13:52:00 What is wrong with your current board? I would rule out the last two options by preference. Snorkbox (15764)
1121005 2010-07-21 13:55:00 My current board is awesome, apart from being faulty. I can't use the PCIe x16 slots, and if I shut down I have to wait at least ten minutes or it gives me video card error beep. sammo450 (13626)
1121006 2010-07-21 19:41:00 Asus or Gigabyte are my two recommendations I don't use any other, of the 4 computers in the house at the moment all are Asus gary67 (56)
1121007 2010-07-21 21:20:00 Asus or Gigabyte. pctek (84)
1121008 2010-07-21 21:41:00 Asus Forever jd2759 (15763)
1121009 2010-07-21 21:46:00 I prefer Gigabyte due to bad experiences with ASUS products.
DFI is very good also but availability is sometimes limited.

While most rave about ASUS I cannot recommend them.

1121010 2010-07-21 22:42:00 Asus or Gigabyte. TBH these days I'm preferring Gigabytes entry level boards to Asus's, they feel a bit more solid...but the higher end stuff they are as good as each other, my last 2 Boards have been Asus, previous one was Gigabyte.

Either brand is fine.

1121012 2010-07-21 23:00:00 None of the boards you have there are particularly bad. Alex B (15479)
