834870 2009-12-01 03:41:00 Because its the truth and not sure lying is the term when filling incorrect details on a bureaucratic form, couldn't you use the term protest. You might have a very sheltered life in Toke but we westies are rebels (others might say plonkers).

Incorrect on a form is not a lie unless you are under oath.

Police go and say to get a search warrant that they have good cause to suspect an offence etc.

I might add that if you are telling truth when you say you lie then how can I believe what you say. You may be lying when you say you tell the truth.

834872 2009-12-01 11:49:00 You lost me

That was easy to do as you do not appear to use logic.

Anyway a lie is still a lie even if not under oath. There are sins of ommission too for that matter.

If you are under oath and then lie you can be charged with perjury.

834873 2009-12-01 21:05:00 Does this mean that he will not be playing in the Swedish Open anymore ? Digby (677)
834874 2009-12-02 04:22:00 But my point is that I don't know and neither do you know what happend .
I don't think any charges have been pressed up to date by either Mr or Mrs Woods or the police .

I might add that all we have now is speculation for what it is worth .

You missed the point a little .

Neither Mr . nor Ms . Woods have the option of avoiding arrest as domestic abuse is chargeable by the authorities even if neither of the participants press charges .

The Florida authorities have obtained a search warrant to search the grounds for video security tapes that may very well be gone by now . If so - that's evidence tampering and subject to a different set of laws and penalties .

Either way, there will likely be some court action and perhaps some penalties involved even if it's on private land and did not include the police and courts in the first place .

Some sponsors are already squirming out on Tiger and will prolly use their op-out escape clause if he gets his name more sullied in the tabloids . It's a tough world out there for celebrities . :crying

Well so far he has got a careless driving citation for $225.

I haven't seen that yet and I wonder how the PD could cite him as it all happened on private property .

You can run into trees, houses, pools, dogs and fences all day long if you do it on your own (or someone's who won't complain) property .

Even hitting a fireplug there isn't a civil problem as these are privately owned by the housing association that ALSO provided the inept wanna-be rent-a-cops for their so-called security .

I may ho-hum this and cease reading about the exploits of a very rich (unGODLY rich!) athlete with a sexy nubile wife who finds a need to mow other lawns .

834877 2009-12-02 05:21:00 Just saw a police officer on our news stating that no criminal charges will be laid.

Therefore I don't think I missed the point. As I pointed out the whole deal is speculation anyway.

POSTED: Wednesday, December 2, 2009
UPDATED: 10:30 am EST December 2, 2009Tiger Woods says he has let his family down and regrets "those transgressions with all of my heart . "

In a statement Wednesday on his Web site, Woods says he has not been "true to my values and the behavior my family deserves . "

He offered his "profound apology" to his supporters .

His comments came after Us Weekly magazine published a cover story alleging that a Los Angeles cocktail waitress had a 31-month affair with the world's No . 1 golfer .

The cops had this info a few days ago, and that's why they let him cook in his own juices . and didn't proffer charges yet .

He sunk himself!
