2010-07-23 01:34:00 | Sorry for the questions but I'm still confused about recipients. Do all recipients have trouble reading docs prepared by you? Adobe Acrobat can create PDFs and Acrobat reader can read same but not create. Who created the PDF you sent to yourself?

2010-07-23 01:43:00 | PDF created by Adobe Acrobat by someone else and when I received it I saved it. To test it I attached it to an email to myself and I received and successfully opened it and it was perfect. Not all but some recipients say the attachments are received not in the orginal format but all "skew wiff". | dianne pierce (13385) | |
2010-07-23 01:45:00 | Thanks for your help I will try and "see" an email and attachment that I sent to one of the recipients -maybe it is as you say the problem is at their end. I'll report back here later. | dianne pierce (13385) | |
2010-07-23 01:48:00 | OK but you also say doc files are affected by being skew wiff and you create these using Word 2002. I don't think it's your Email client by the way. Do you by any chance import the PDF file into Word 2002 and then send the result as a Doc?

2010-07-23 23:59:00 | Ok sussed out what the problem was. The document I scanned was scanning in jpg format so I changed it to scan in pdf format. I couldn't find anything in my brother manual to say that this needed to be done. Now when I send it in an email everything is fine. The documents I sent to myself earlier when I did the test was already in the PDF format. Thanks for all your help. | dianne pierce (13385) | |
