834677 2009-11-29 23:44:00 Every site has ads. Get used to it. If you dont like it dont go there. Simple Speedy Gonzales (78)
834678 2009-11-30 00:30:00 Not every site does. None of my websites have ads. pcuser42 (130)
834679 2009-11-30 00:42:00 Using an analogy to counter the argument: If you were to eat out at a restaurant and you find that the chair that you are about to sit is broken, do you repair it yourself or do you ask for a new one?

Cheers :)

Thats a crap analogy.

Try this, You visit the libarary, The cost to you is zero, You can stay all day and read as many books as you like, But first, as the cost to run the place is many thousands of dollars a week, we have this short video we would ask you to view, There is no requirement to purchase, Just 20 seconds of your time, and we can continue to provide the full library experience for no charge.

In the event you refuse you can

A-Go to a different library
B-Avoid the short video by going around the back of the buiolding and climbing through a window, Thanks for nothing Jackarse.

834681 2009-11-30 02:58:00 FF by default doesn't block it, This is the Ad (www.imagef1.net.nz) --- runs for about 3-5 seconds -- A Person can always click on the link, top right to skip it.

See what happens when you get bored - playing with Linux Mint while waiting for W7 to install

834682 2009-11-30 08:23:00 We can only wonder how long it is before there is a surcharge to watch the ads. Fair enough on TV, they are usually better than the programs, but in the Herald - - - -
- - - Oh. OK then.

834683 2009-11-30 08:48:00 To be honest I didnt really care when I saw the coke ad and I run chrome os.
Was looking at the chick I could look at chicks all day even cartoon ones.
If I was a web designer I would block the pages if I detected ad blocking software.
I have pop ups blocked with chrome otherwise on porn sites there ends up being too many pages open

834684 2009-11-30 19:21:00 If I was a web designer I would block the pages if I detected ad blocking software.

That's a BAD idea. I'd rather have traffic.
