834450 2009-11-28 17:10:00 Here's a video of that three-state canyon I promised. (www.youtube.com)

The local AM radio was on and I didn't want to set the camera down to turn it off. These states are really very conservative and they hate Obama and his tax-n-splurge economics.

834453 2009-11-29 00:09:00 Where is the video unit mounted? Are you hand-holding it while driving? Scouse (83)
834454 2009-11-29 00:20:00 Yes he is hand holding it as Joe mentioned. Nice stuff Joe.

834455 2009-11-29 01:08:00 I sometimes use a tripod bungee'd to my passenger's headrest, but this time I was caught off guard and just flipped the camera on and started shooting .

Even though I usually lash the camera to that headrest, many times I just hand hold it and shift and steer with my knees . Driving on the correct side of the road makes it easy as the vehicle tends to climb to the center crown of the road and stabilizes itself pretty good .

The hard part comes when I have to shift, change radio stations, drink some bottled water and also run the camera . But I'm good at it now .

Notice: Do NOT attempt this at home . The vehicle was being driven by a professional stunt driver on a very sparsely occupied road and traction-visibility-lighting was excellent .

Upsidedown Landians should NEVER attempt this activity - the roads are just tilted the wrong way and the Coriolis Effect will throw any vehicle into solar sub-orbit .

Well why did you not?

Or are you missing a word here?

834458 2009-11-29 02:14:00 Are you filming that via a mirror so that the steering wheel appears to be on the wrong side of the vehicle Joe? Clever! John H (8)
