| 1454741 | 2018-10-22 21:58:00 | My house is currently insured by Vero. I have a quote from AA Insurance which is $160.00 a year less than Vero. I have been with Vero for at least ten years. Should I change to AA for the sake of $160.00 ? The terms are the same. |

Tell them AA is $160 cheaper and ask them if they can match it. I tend to stick with what I have so my house and contents is through Westpac and I forget who they use and my car is with AMI but I should probalbly have combined them, most companies offer package deals if you insure everything. I hate faffing about changing things though, power companies, insurance companies, ISPs, it'd take some terrible service or a big price difference to make me shift. |

We just been through all that rubbish earlier this year. We were with AMI, (20 + years) but after making a minor claim, we looked a bit deeper, confirmed a few things and discovered that Certain things weren't actually covered, which we were assured earlier were. The person at AMI didn't want to know about it, so told them where to stick their insurance, went to another insurer, and got EVERYTHING written down, increased the house by quite a bit, and still cost less than before. After we dumped AMI, THEN they came back full of apologies, we can do this that and the other -- Sorry to little to late. |

| 1454748 | 2018-10-23 00:40:00 | I have been with Vero since before it was that . Sun Alliance I think? Company I worked for were the NZ agents and we had an insurance manager who looked after us all pretty well . All gone now but they are fairly competitive now so have just signed up for another year . One must understand that all insurance companies are bar-stewards and should be treated as such . Christchurch was and is still for some, a bad case . Some years ago, I took one company to the Ombudsmen for a CAB client I was looking after and got them a fair result . The insurance company didn't thank me, but the client didn't either . . . which was pretty well par for the course . :( I can't see the point in changing for $100 Ken |
