Interesting.

I found no flavour at all, and PG only was the only thing that didn't make me cough like h***.

1454384 2018-10-13 06:28:00 Be that as it may, vaping got me off a 36-year smoking habit for 10 months now. Even if it isn't better for my health, my wallet's much happier.

Waistline, not so much. Fixing that is next ..

1454385 2018-10-13 10:51:00 I'm going to say vaping is better for your lungs going by the experinents I have seen but uncertain about health. Now these aren't officially proven tests but the results impressed me enough to say that it does look better. Unless of course it's producing a clear stain rather than the usual tobacco looking stain.

I heard an argument about giving up smoking so you could live 10 years longer and the person against it said but it'll be the worse 10 years of your life.

1454386 2018-10-13 19:34:00 I prefer that you don't vape in the same room as me due to those test results not being conclusive proof that it isn't harmful gary67 (56)
1454387 2018-10-13 20:08:00 My point was the bit about the flavourings etc.

I hate them, I use it plain.
Also I found if you buy pre-mixes, the have VG, all of them.
There are some pure VG, no PG, but no PG only.

So I made my own. And it does make a difference...so that was interesting. On another forum, about vaping I found some others agreed, one had tried all sorts of mix ratios and was going higher VG and it was worse (the vape theory is VG better), so he tried my idea and found PG better.

You also don't get those big clouds either - so gary67, shouldn't be an issue.

It's not smoke anyway...PG is found in a lot of food, ice-cream for instance.

Both you and your body will appreciate it in the long run :)

I remember seeing some research a while ago that said when most vapers stopped using they went back to cigarettes.

I've found "cold turkey" worked for me. It wasn't easy about 6-8 weeks of craving, followed by 18 months of vigilance.

Drinking alcohol puts your vigilance right down. I stopped about 30 odd years ago.

Still it was worth it, two children and 4 grandchildren keep me on my toes!

Yup, I went from 2 - 3 packs a day to zero, and that was 36 years ago. Bit tough for a while, my body was missing its "fix" but I told myself I was missing something, it couldn't be tobacco - because I didn't smoke. I did have a few dreams where I was at a party and had a smoke (in the dream). I woke dismayed I'd given in ... until I realised (with relief) it was only a dream. So it can be done.

Hey Piroska, are you in Hawkes Bay now, or is that still to happen? If you have told us, I must have missed your announcement.

1454391 2018-10-14 00:33:00 The Air Force banned smoking and vaping at the same time on base. If you want to satisfy a chemical addiction you would have to drive off base. prefect (6291)
