1454252 2018-10-09 05:42:00 I went here as you advertised (www.goodgearguide.com.au) --- and got a 'Your link has expired" or words to that effect. (I'm old and I forget easily!)

Oops! Wrong pix -- I'll try this again...

This MIGHT be the right one ---- let me see. :devil

OK - trouble here - ignore the thumbnail - it's wrong.

I really don't know what I'm doing here. Like I said ---- Press F1 is very hard to post pictures to.

1454254 2018-10-09 07:59:00 Forget that speed test its rubbish.

You are far better off going to www.speedtest.net

That will work on Linux as well, if you had W10 there's a better app in the store, speedtest can be a bit inaccurate at times.

1454255 2018-10-09 09:17:00 Plus the fact that mods or anyone else have nothing to do with site content - only forum content.

The likes of Chill used to have access to edit some certain site content, but when it went over the ditch to Oz land, that was that!

1454257 2018-10-09 20:07:00 And perhaps their license had actually expired piroska (17583)

Agreed - I'd play more in the pics dept if it wasn't such a mission. Also, does this place have an 'app'?

Its quite easy really ( well I have no problems)

1st make sure you are in Advanced mode, by default its NOT.

(a new post puts you into advanced automatically)

When you click reply

To go to advanced, bottom right click Advanced:
9084

In the reply formatting click on the Picture Icon:

9085

A window pops up, Click the Computer Tab ( top left ) Then Browse, navigate to your picture, select it, then click upload file(s)

9086

Done.

HINT: different browsers will make the uploading window look different, but the y all basically work the same.

Example the picture above is from Edge, the one below is from chrome.

9087

NOTE: getting a picture or taking a snip of something is totally different, depends on what snipping / capture tool you want to use.

1454260 2018-10-10 05:18:00 That's the drill I go through . I get the message that the upload failed - repeatedly .

I use the BASIC UPLOADER --- is that a problem?

1454261 2018-10-10 21:44:00 Not only that, but it can take a while to get the clock (posting times) right again in daylight savings. ;)That is my bad. I have to manually change the time setting each time daylight savings starts and ends. If you are logged in, it will always show the correct time, so you only noticed the time different if viewing the forum as a visitor.

I've updated the time to say daylight savings is now in effect.
