But the price of the fuel on the international market stayed the same or dropped. Your mates the Commies have increased the tax at the same time the price of crude has shot up. I feel sorry for youse guys with the position the US has put you in - threw you under the bus really . As the US boycotts nation-states and they put the screws to everyone else in the world - it just rolls downhill (no pun intended to Upsidedown Land references and all) . It seems the US doesn't care much how badly they interfere with lifestyles in other countries . I'm not to blame here - just the messenger . ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Did you hear that the US senators are getting death threats on their private cellphones? Those cell numbers are NOT made public at all - yet someone hacked them . If an average citizen threatened a sitting senator or congressman, the FBI'd be all over it like stink on poop . The Democrats are very worked up that they couldn't keep the nomination of a conservative Supreme Court Judge(^) Kavanaugh from happening even with fake news, fake bimbo blowouts and fake hostile-personality deficiencies ---- according to them . The Democrats were pulling out all the stops to make things very hard on everybody . It is said: Blame the Dems on the new gas price increase . Now the Dems want to add two more judges to the Supreme Court to 'balance out' the plurality of conservative members --- with some good ol' socialist judges . (^ = Kavanaugh's appointment is seen as a threat to the abortion laws and generally the 'special civil rights' that are afforded to people because they are sexually, racially or ethnically different and who, some are also illegally inside the country . The illegal aliens welcomed by- and protected from- deportation and state's non-compliance with the federal authorities enforcing such laws by the are a special red flag for conservatives . The last time 'packing an inside straight with leftist judges' --- that was attempted --- was by Teddy Roosevelt and Obama --- and that didn't go so well for them! Sadly - the Dems have it in their credo that they want to ban firearms and violate the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution . The 2A is therefore a legally established law . There are 10 special purposed amendments that were ratified and assigned to the US Constitution and they are not to be interpreted - they stand as laws, not suggestions . Some left-leaning states have already put 2A* violating bans in place - Hawaii, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts are some of them that make it impossible to own a firearm . With the new conservative supreme court judge (Kavanaugh) it's feared (by the Dems) that this will cause an unbalanced situation - (at the moment in their socialist/liberal political favor until the new judge is installed) and all their machinations will be reversed and everyone will be allowed to keep and legally own --- without registration --- firearms that are at least equal to what the military has --- not counting tanks and bombers and ships with torpedoes and such . Atomic bombs are also off the table for consideration . That there are allowances for a 'well-regulated militia' as the US Constitution so states --- that there is not going to be another King George to rule over the US . That's the whole provision of the 2A, and it means that everyone is to be armed to keep the govt from putting the citizens under martial law . (* 2A = 2nd Amendment) Since the US state and local police are spread so thin - it is important for those that want to - to own firearms to protect themselves against criminals (until the police arrive - hours away in some cases) ---who don't obey the firearm laws anyway . If the criminals were to actually obey the law, they wouldn't have firearms at all . "Tain't gonna happen . It's a rallying point . It is a tender wound in the hearts of most of the US citizenry . Even if other nations do not understand it - it is the law . Ya see - it ain't an island nation here --- it's a vast wide-open area that has very few people in the middle and between cities of large populations --- and with few police to help keep the peace . The Leftist-Liberals want to not obey the law as it is written, and the Republican-Conservatives want to keep to the letter of the law and remove govt from the states(#) . The idea is to keep the Federal govt out of the individual state laws and courts . The only time the feds are allowed to interfere with the states self-governance, is when there is an obvious violation of federal laws . (# this is accomplished by keeping a 'hands-off' attitude between the federal govt and the states . That states have certain laws - but they may NOT exceed nor diminish the laws of the Constitution, and this is where the govt is supposed to step in . The govt is conscripted by the' law of the land' to NOT interfere unless it becomes interstate, not just intrastate . ) Such as: Arrest and conviction by federal authorities for illegal drugs and trafficking of them . This is the primary power of the FBI . (The CIA is forbidden to operate on US soil . ) Capture and/or arrest of felons fleeing states' authorities . To regulate Interstate Commerce eg: where trucks for commercial purposes travel from state-to-state with goods and services Provide for a standing army, navy and other military forces in the time of war or defending the external borders of the US lands . . Standardization of a bureau of weights and measures --- for commerce . Provide an authoritative superior court for handling disputes between states and their local jurisdictional courts and police authorities . There's a lot of 'etceteras' here that are slowly jumping the borders and restraining devices in the US Constitution . It's creeping socialism as they call it . Me? I try to stay impartial and basically a-political . I don't vote and that's a right that the US still has . Compulsory voting hasn't arrived ---- yet . I'm just enjoying the parade of things going on here . It's very entertaining - and I did vote - but for a theocracy .
