2018-10-04 20:25:00 | These days they have dropped "and western" for some reason but it's still the same music. I like some country music - the songs that cross over into pop - but in the main I'm not a country fan. I was brought up on sixties pop music. What about you? What is your preference in music?

2018-10-04 20:48:00 | My preference in music is Good music. The 'type' isnt so important :-) Country has many completely different flavours . Bluegrass(?) , hard country, pop/crossover,acoustic only, etc Some country stars make very good music & wrote very good songs: Dolly Parton, Miranda Lambert , these I like and could be called easy listening I guess The purer country can be quite hard to listen to (for me) , the further away from middle of the road/pop the less its liked by J.Average. AchyBreaky Heart :banana or good country music , that tells a story www.youtube.com

2018-10-04 21:31:00 | What is your preference in music? Generally, anything before the 90's. Preferably late-60's / 70's rock. Led Zep, Doobie's, the list goes on. Being late-teens with a drinking problem in the 80's I am a fan of that era as well.

2018-10-04 21:38:00 | 40', 50's and 60's, best in dancing era for BH & I. Jim REEVES type of thing. Joan IRVINE who had been to the London School of Dancing, was a fantastic "instructor" back in the 1950's. Different type of music tho.

2018-10-04 22:14:00 | Who hates all the new cover versions of the classic pop/rock songs ? They are almost never as good as the original, and always forgotten within a year. Its like, 'Ive run out of original ideas, I'll do a cover' Too many crappy cover versions playing on the radio . I always change channel when I hear one.

2018-10-04 22:17:00 | Not sure if this is country but I very much like this: www.youtube.com Here's the lyrics: Sharing a Gibson with Martin Luther King Jr. All the leaves have turned to leather I have lost faith in the spring Withered like a dark balloon Oh, I hear no robin sing Ushered with the shower still Oh, the rain falls off the leaves And a rim of shady light It forms these patterns on my hands I can see your ring Is it camouflaged or etched Tell the king To me this errand sent To call such a hole In the kingdom of the Lord That we are afraid Where there is no fear Oh, he fell into a slumber And did not wake until the dawn To see a band of orange clouds Cross the middle of the sky Oh, he got into a fluster He felt a tightening in his leg With such finesse he waived a hornet From a wine glass And tiny fluffs of the feathered life And you wander forth with your insolence and wine To your fruitless mourn to them that cannot hear And what the **** am I doing here? In the ghettos of Chicago Amid the poverty and despair Inside the game hens Were the giblets in a plastic bag A cocktail which consisted Of his gin and her vermouth Garnished together with the pearl onions Dying eyes gleamed forth their ashy light Tiny fluffs of the feathered life And you wander forth with your insolence and wine To your fruitless mourn to them that cannot hear
