A new deal . A new name Or just the old deal with a new name? : the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement .

With Mexico already in Trump's bag, now Canada falls on their own sword to keep face in the world's biggest economic markets .

In the news today: Canada capitulated late Sunday and signed on to a trade deal already in place between the United States and Mexico, reinstalling a new-but-changed, three-country North American Free Trade Agreement after more than a year of internal turmoil in Canada and distrust of the US's purpose .

Hours before the midnight deadline, Canada hurriedly agreed to a deal that would allow US farmers to buy from Canada's dairy market . This also address worries about US hard-goods and auto tariffs .

As the normal political antagonist's program unfolds, several Democrats, falling in step with their party line have warned that they would not support a deal without Canada .

"It would be a monumental mistake to do this without Canada," US Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon, the top Democrat on the Senate committee that oversees trade, said Friday, before the text was delivered .

"It's basically surrendering on fixing NAFTA", which Democrats are not wont to do . NAFTA was brought originally about by a Democratic president .

It has been openly and critically decried as a Socialist Experiment and a terrible economic waste hole that generally sucked the life out of the US job market and laid-off US employees when jobs went South of The Border to Mexico's trade allies that operate sweatshop labor facilities with which US workers with higher wages could not compete .

Yeah - I wrote this .

1453991 2018-10-02 08:02:00 Ford and Chrysler (?) to rescale their plants (or selected model manufacturing) in Mexico to please Trump. I think they increased production in USA to appease Trump - and of course add jobs to Americans. But probably 1000's of new Ford jobs in Mexico. kahawai chaser (3545)
