1453853 2018-09-27 05:18:00 Replaced a couple of cartridges in my Canon MPC earlier, and the new (refilled) Cyan cartridge leaked quite generously on my fingers. What do you find the most effective ink removal method/cleanser (apart from amputation)? tinakarori (5695)
1453854 2018-09-27 05:22:00 Amputation isn't necessary, a good power sander should do the job.

Google suggests
Tea tree oil
Rubbing alcohol
Glass cleaner
hairspray
baby oil

Never had more than a small amount myself and just let it wear off over a few days with lots of hand washing.

Not hand wash, actual real soap.

Or time, it will wear off you know.

But if you can't wait soap well, scrub with the pumice.

1453856 2018-09-27 13:21:00 Laundry detergent and a nail brush, plus firm verbal expressions not of a scholarly nature purely for tradition. Powdered detergent mix to a thick, slightly gritty paste, liquid detergent use straight undiluted.
(Without the "doing words" the exercise is tedious).

Turning back the clock, latex surgical gloves in any messy jobs. They are like a second skin. :)

Thanks to everyone for their helpful suggestions. Tea tree oil, glass cleaner, baby oil, nail polish remover etc didn't seem to achieve much, sadly. Doing the dishes by hand (ie rather than in the dishwasher) plus lots of hand washing/scrubbing seemed to have some effect. Otherwise simply the effluxion of time....
