Here is a bottom line question. I get a error code of 1024 when I see if I have any bad sectors. So I do a chkdsk\r and about 2 hours it finds no problems. Then I go back and do the same thing as my image says and again I get error code 1024. So should I just throw this Hard Drive away?

How valuable is your data. Take the risk & loose everything on that drive or have files corrupt over time without you knowing.

Keep in mind that faulty drives can pass every test you throw at them . Seen that plenty of times.

1452420 2018-08-09 10:19:00 I don't think that's an error code. It looks really familiar, and I suspect it is the normal exit code after a successful disc scan. There is a file written to your system with the detailed results of your disc checking. Google where MS puts the file for your OS and have a read of it. Paul.Cov (425)

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

At the Command Prompt, type: sfc/scannow

sfc /scannow
