1452320 2018-08-05 21:59:00 I have a 955 AMD computer, Windows 7, with a SSD Drive. When I try to load Quake 4 I get the error message "Class Not registered" Quake 4 has played in this computer before several years ago. I tried sfc/scannow in the command line as the admin. and got " Did not find any "Integrity Violations". Anyone have an idea of what I should do next? lostsoul62 (16011)

I have a i5 4690, Windows 7, with a SSD Drive. When I try to load Quake 4 I get the error message " Library not Registered" Quake 4 has played in this computer before several years ago. I tried sfc /VERIFYONLY in the command line as the admin. and got " Did not find any "Integrity Violations". Anyone have an idea of what I should do next?

In both of these computer when Quake 4 worked I did not have an SSD drive but I don't think that could cause this?

I couldn't find out how to edit my post, does anyone know?

1452322 2018-08-05 22:24:00 Such an old game, its been too long but I recall having to run it in XP compatible mode, can't remember exactly how you do that though. Kame (312)

As for your other issues, no idea.

I click on the properties on setup but there was no XP mode. Look at the picture its right there, put a tick in the box that says XP

Using the Word "mode" may be confusing, there is a XP mode, but this is a VM that was able to run in W7 and above. Different to the XP in the picture.

1452327 2018-08-06 05:13:00 Its not the setup that needs it, its the quake 4 process. You can either follow the shortcut to its program location or do it through the process on task manager when you run quake. Kame (312)
