1451766 2018-07-19 05:03:00 Hi guys.
I have a small mproblem, more an annoyance.
On new site, NZ Hearld & Stuff idems tend to have videos.
I get annoyed that when I'm reading the vedio starts up.
You know of an app that can stop that?
Thanks,
Ian.

what browser are you using . that matters for the fix to stop autoplay .
some of the vids on the side are adverts , so they need an ablocker like ublock or adware .

I have tried this Wainui. It doesn't work, and just about all commenters in the link had it fail for them too. I saw somewhere that Google are working on a solution, but whether this is for the Chrome OS or the Chrome browser I don't know. Does anyone have any further information as this seems to be a world-wide piss-off.

The current version is Version 68.0.3440.75 (Official Build) (64-bit) As from V66 the auto run block was meant to be installed.

Some sites you still cant block, while others work well.

1451775 2018-07-25 00:38:00 Yes, version is latest as you note. But I cannot locate any setting which blocks auto-run. Richard (739)
