I just find that if you're going to put probes directly on the source you'll be compromising it, unless it doesn't interfere with anything. Maybe if you're happy with taking the readings from things like the heatsink to get a rough estimate of temp of CPU, then that wouldn't be too hard, could even modify your case to hold the dials, or just rivet them to it. Or... Do you want to convert digital readings to analog, since that's more inline with car gauges. |

| 1454830 | 2018-10-23 07:03:00 | Temperature mostly. This is on my gaming system. I run a second monitor to display info relative to the game or sim I am currently using. With the weather warming up now I have CPUID HWMonitor running on there as well. When I hear the system fans start to ramp up, I can look at the HWMonitor readout to check the CPU & GPU temps. Unfortunately, there is so much info displayed on there it is hard to spot those two, even when you know where they are. If you are part way through a 30 lap race in Assetto Corsa, you may only have a split second to look. So it would be handy to have the readouts in analogue form. Like auto gauges. |

I swear words I've never typed appear in my posts when I read them back, and the gaps between words are constantly in the wrong place. I have to proof read all my posts and still miss typos a lot. I've tried a lot of hardware monitors myself, some let you choose what to display but that CAM software I linked is the only one I could find with large analogue (ish) readouts. Sometimes your motherboard manufacturere has one available, might be worth a look. From memory I think what I've used is Speccy Open hardware monitor speedfan hardware monitor Asus motherboard software I forget the name of and now CAM from NZXT which I like except for the requirememnt to log in for some features |
