| 836371 | 2009-12-05 01:22:00 | I have a family member who likes to ask questions about what I'm doing, then suggests I should pass it over to someone she works with as they know all about computers. This same person went elsewhere when I wouldn't drop everything for them immediately, This new person they took the PC too put in a second harddrive, cloned the first to it, and charged them $400, And seeing as the problem was spyware and startup bloat the new "configuartion" had the exact same problems. Recently I picked up their PC as it wouldn't boot, It had crashed hard and was locking on scan disc, Slaved it in another PC and let scandisc doing its magic. Anyway, while I had the PC they rang a DSE store, a local repair outfit and a repair outfit in another town, told them all the "symptoms" got an over the phone diagnosis and decided it was the video chipset.....and when I returned it they wanted to know what I had done about the faulty video card :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed: Lmfao. |

| 836372 | 2009-12-05 01:31:00 | That's one I hear a lot when people call up and cant fix the problem. My son/brother etc knows about computers I'm an IT expert I've been asked to... I don't know how to do my job can you help? I have a PC in my house I'm a computer expert Yes. Frequent. The "expert" has usually completely knackered things by this point and/or installed another version of Windows on it without a legal COA or any drivers. Drivers? WHat are drivers? |
