1121927 2010-07-26 11:52:00 I use Paint.net Roger Hunt (13648)
1121928 2010-07-26 11:57:00 The exposure correction is particularly useful for those god-awful grossly under-exposed TradeMe photos that show no detail at all. Gamma correction plus a contrast increase brings up all the detail, and you can even correct colour casts if you need to get better assessement of the item. It can give you a serious bidding edge.:D

I hate auctions like that. Cheers for the tip

1121930 2010-08-02 11:46:00 Open the picture folder in explorer, cntrl/click photos you want to email then 'file/send to/mail recepient. You will then be asked if you want to 'Make all my pictures smaller' OK that and your email program will open with the pictures as attachments DavidW (532)
1121931 2010-08-02 22:03:00 MS Powertoys is the easiest - just right click one or more pics and choose from various sizes .

As a separate program, I agree that IrfanView is tops .

Is this with Windows 7, or what??

1121934 2010-08-03 11:53:00 Irfanview, wouldn't be without it, and bulk resize all my pics smaller, and keep the originals in another folder. supergran (108)
1121935 2010-08-04 11:15:00 ++++ for Irfanview - have used it for years. Load image, click Ctrl-R, select a new dimension (for emails I use 800 pixels high, seems to suit most laptop screens) tick 'Keep original aspect ratio' and voila. As Supergran said, you can do any-sized batches at a time. Also handy for your folks is the simple Rotate function for "correcting" pics taken with the camera oriented vertically.
It also has a simple renaming function for replacing img0000345- type filenames with a real name.
