837381 2009-12-12 01:03:00 These are trying times for followers of God... Atheists constantly ridicule us, e.g. with comics and articles which usually appear on digg.com, some buses are sporting anti God banners and the world is turning to a Unified World Order which we have seen evidence of through the hidden agenda of the UN and climate change plans. Our very way of life as we know it is becoming abnormal

Having said that, none of it is unexpected or avoidable, it's written in the Bible that in the end times there is more and more persecution of Christians. It's also written that 'the great eagle shall fall' which refers to America and it's moral degradation; take America - you take most western countries with it. And you can't deny that the world is morally degraded, just look at how things are now, compared to how they were say 62 years ago - which is the year that Israel re-established as a Nation - another thing predicted by the Bible, the Jews regrouping in their land.

Most of my friends are Atheists and we have no serious quarrels, we get on fine. I don't force religion or God down their throats, I hardly even mention such things. Which is what society expects, but its not what God wants. God wants everyone to have an opportunity to be told about him and have a relationship with him, and once every tongue in every nation has been reached then that is when the rapture is supposed to happen and all those who live according to God will be like, GG and go to heaven. Leaving everyone else to a second chance on an Earth ruled under the Anti Christ for 6 years or so.

forgive me if I'm wrong, I'm not a great example of a Christian, I haven't even read the bible fully yet. But this is what I believe, and I hope that you at least respect my point of view.

I also believe that it is in our design to have a yearning for relationship with God, this full fills our spirits and sustains us. But then people seem to look for this fulfilment in everywhere else before coming to God, whether it be a false religion (lol Scientology), or a bodily addiction (drugs).

I saw an article this week on people who experience terrifying demonic visions and experiences at night and instead of prayer, people are trying to find a scientific solution for it and make some drug to cure it. This really annoys me to see people suffering needlessly and being too blind and ignorant to the simple truth that God will set them free and save them from torment

Perhaps mass marketing plus the frequent issue of hotfixes and sp's to the many and various scriptures would help - it certainly has helped MS propagate a somewhat shaky product over quite a few years.
On the other hand, MS must slaver with envy over the religious warranty scheme. Perhaps they could combine product-wise going forward?

837386 2009-12-12 22:51:00 jamsyboi, good to see another Christian on here!.

There was an email doing the rounds about mockers' and the following was one, quote:

John Lennon (Singer):

Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:
Christianity will end, it will disappear.

I do not have to argue about that. I am certain.

Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him' (1966).

Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

There were many others in that email.

Lurking.

837387 2009-12-13 06:10:00 Are you saying Lennon's death was an act of god? That'd be the old testament guy; none of your namby pamby Christian stuff.... seltsam (13470)
837388 2009-12-13 06:19:00 Anyone who says he/she follows the bible also follows god's ways of killing innocents, raping women, treating women as possession, animal cruelty, infanticide, suffering, pain and tears and unfairness.

Oh, sure, love and all that nice schmazz are all in there too. But I'm not worshiping a selfish, highly jealous and schizophrenic megalomaniac.
