1122428 2010-07-26 05:55:00 Is it possible to run both Office 2000 and 2010 on the same computer without conflict?
I expect that I would need heaps of memory, space and power if it's possible to do this.
To explain why I need to do this - Only Office 2000 includes 'Front Page' which I use daily. I do not wish to purchase 'Expression Web" (unless I have to!) as I am quite satisfied with 'Front Page'. However I would like to update to a newer Office programme for 'Word' - in particular.
Can anyone advise?
Thanks.

1122429 2010-07-26 05:58:00 Should be able to as long as they're installed to different directories e.g C:/program files/Microsoft/Office10 and C:/program files/Microsoft/Office0 try the trial (or the beta if it's still up). Then if it works buy the media-less version (just the cd key) to save some money and so that you don't have to re install it (could cause problems).

1122430 2010-07-26 05:59:00 You can do that as an upgrade OK and it will leave Frontpage alone. You can't have two versions of Outlook running but you can have two of everything else. Snorkbox (15764)
1122431 2010-07-26 05:59:00 You should be able to. Just try the 2010 Microsoft Office trial and see if it works before buying it :)

1122433 2010-07-26 06:03:00 Can you get frontpage standalone instead of in the office suite?
However i can confirm that you can have office 2000 and 2010 running at the same time, and you don't even need that much memory (unless your opening huge excel files etc.)

1122434 2010-07-26 06:11:00 If your using frontpage as a web development program and can't get it to work with office 10 I recommend moving to dreamweaver or a free alternative like NVU, unless there is a specific reason for using Frontpage... icow (15313)
1122435 2010-07-26 07:52:00 Office 2000 and Office 2010 should install into different directories, and therefore I don't forsee any conflicts to occur.

Cheers :)

Good thinking!
As you suggest, I will install the the trial version of 2010 - and see what happens!
