2010-07-25 11:43:00 | As you may know many users of Big Time will be shifting ISP very soon to either the a different plan on Telecom or more likely a new ISP altogether. Looking at my past usage on big time I have discerned that 100GB would be a suitable monthly cap, also looking into naked dsl options a lot of the time it is cheaper to use voip than a phone line. Looking at several different providers I have come across 2 isp that have piqued my interest maxnet and nznet. Both offer 100GB naked dsl plans but Maxnet costs $173 (with 2talk) and nznet $137 which includes voip service. I have heard very good things about Maxnet so far but not much about nznet (mainly because they are a business service). So I am wondering if anyone has any experience with nznet at all, could the please share them with me. Thanks,

That said, it's my limited understanding that it's realistically possible to offer 100GB for that kind of price and for the ISP to still turn a profit. Looks like their line is offered through 2talk, though I could be mistaken. Just remember that if you go over it's $20 per-GB |

2010-07-26 05:04:00 | Yes, I saw that overage, if I do go ahead with this ISP I would have to keep a very close eye on that indeed! So, do you have any other suggestions other than Maxnet, which I am now re-considering as my new ISP? | narutophantom (12610) | |
2010-08-03 03:35:00 | Hi, just adding some information on NZNET and the over-limit charges. The actual charge is 0.01 or 1 cent per MB. The website will be changed accordingly. Also check out the new 200GB plan with Naked DSL for only $139.95 per month (+ GST). | nznetsales (15900) | |
2010-08-03 03:42:00 | hi, I have been with NZNET for 12 Years. I have called the help desk about 5 times in that time. My Connection always works:) | sirrab (15901) | |
2010-08-03 04:06:00 | $139.95?? I would rather stay @ 15-20 GB (it'll be a waste having 200 GB), when I don't use 50 - 100 + GB a mth now. I dont even use 20 GB a mth. Most I would pay for Naked DSL would be 10-15 GB a mth + $45/50 for the phone. I wouldn't bother with toll calls. And that'd be under $90

2010-08-03 05:02:00 | The OP was specifically asking about isp plans with at least 100 GB so I would say the answer by nznetsales is very relevent - after all, he wasnt actualy trying to sell it to you was he? | bevy121 (117) | |
