1121916 2010-07-24 07:40:00 I need some kind of a very simple tool /way that will be easy to use
for resizing pictures from a camera and then emailing them

Its for my old folks who need to pull a SD card out of camera
plug into PC and access the pics and then email from hotmail.
Since PICS are large in file size it needs to be resized

PC is running Vista and i recall in XP there used to be some powertoy
utility that resized if u right clicked on PIC and chose resize

Is there somethign for Vista. Or is there a simpler tool for this ?

1121920 2010-07-24 12:00:00 Irfanview will not only resize and resample, it will also allow exposure correction with a true gamma function, plus sharpening for minor focus errors and a whole lot more.

The exposure correction is particularly useful for those god-awful grossly under-exposed TradeMe photos that show no detail at all. Gamma correction plus a contrast increase brings up all the detail, and you can even correct colour casts if you need to get better assessement of the item. It can give you a serious bidding edge.:D

It is free, easy to use, and I wouldn't be without it.

Cheers

1121923 2010-07-25 05:53:00 Photofiltre is a good program for resizing and editing pictures. And it doesn't take up heaps of space.
