1123213 2010-07-29 05:25:00 View Sonic VX2450 WM LED Monitor (www.ascent.co.nz)

LG Electronics W2486L-PF LED Monitor (www.ascent.co.nz)

Which is a better buy? Obviously, LG costs much more than VS.

1123214 2010-07-29 05:28:00 Well you aren't really comparing apples with apples - the LG is an inch larger, and has an HDMI input as well as a faster response time.

I don't expect you'd be able to tell a quality difference between either of the screens...and they are also both out of stock. Probably the VS is the better value for money screen in this case.

1123215 2010-07-29 05:31:00 Poor image quality, frustrating touch-sensitive controls and a high price mean this is one LED monitor to avoid

The LG Flatron W2486L lacks ergonomic features, has a low brightness level, and its color reproduction looks dull compared with its competitors

Compared with the LG Flatron W2486L, the SyncMaster offers better performance...

1123216 2010-07-29 05:34:00 You're quite right, they are not having the same specs. I wish to know which one is a better buy, in terms of cost and performance. If you were to choose a monitor, which will you choose? bk T (215)
1123217 2010-07-29 05:35:00 I'd choose the one that didn't suck. Metla (12)
1123218 2010-07-29 06:35:00 LG used to be called Goldstar. Says it all to me - even before observing the crap failure rate. pctek (84)

I am very happy with my LG monitor. The only bad thing about it is that it's not bigger. :(

Edit: And the lack of a second HDMI port.
