| 838600 | 2009-12-10 23:57:00 | A New Zealand Women has been charged with using the Google search engine dishonestly: nz.news.yahoo.com Is there really a law in new zealand with the text 'google' in it? Can't find it in the crimes act or anything. i know hacking is illegal but surely what this women did was Legal. it may be wrong but i can't see why it's illegal. i wonder who made a complaint to the police about this, google or a certain business? |

You are reading the charges too literally Lance, there are no laws in NZ that say you can't shoot somebody with a Winchester, or drive a Toyota while drunk either, nor one saying you can't use a Dell to commit bank fraud . (don't edit the details, i'm just showing you that anyone can edit them) So the women didn't change the details of the florist's website, it was the florist's listing on google's website. Did you read the story? She edited other peoples details. |
