Were I to bring - say - a BOATLOAD of shoes, I bet I can become King of Upsidedown Land . Thank-you for the heads up and the information that every future tourist should know - as the last bunch were eaten and may therefor not be returning to spend and defoliate the local forests and decimate the last remaining kiwis - the bird, not the fruit . There was no mention of any locally produced beer . Is all youse guys get - imported? If so, I'll bring lots of your favorite beer - Budweiser, "The King Of Beers" |

Some people are quite intolerant of language like that on a family forum. Beer is good, it is just such a staple of the diet that it is not needing mention any more than it is to say air is breathed here. Some people do not like beer, that is usually taken as a sure sign that brain death has occurred. The converse does not neccesarily apply as the beer clutching reflex is so ingrained that it may persist long after death as a convulsive spasm, albeit a kindly regarded one (as long as it is not my beer that gets grasped). If you show up with a load of shoes, many will yell "Cobblers", and you may become one of the gentry, at the very least a belted earl. |
