| 1123427 | 2010-07-31 00:32:00 | It is a chip that allows some things to run without booting into windows. And I am sure it is bios controlled as there is nothing in software. But the issue is the Express Gate bypasses all normal boot screens so I cannot see anyway into the Bios. Most people seem to say there's an option in control panel. If there isn't you probably need to install some Asus utility first. I'm pretty sure though that the BIOS will have to load before ExpressGate does, otherwise EG wouldn't be able to do anything. So I think you still should be able to enter BIOS setup. On my Eee the BIOS button is F2, have you tried turning it on and hitting F2 straight away, several times? |
