1123113 2010-07-28 10:49:00 I just thought you might have some spare time. Go for it Wainuitech! Not really -- busy as a one armed paper hanger with an itchy butt. wainuitech (129)
1123114 2010-07-28 11:23:00 Wainuitech,
I went to download Adaware Free from Lavasoft and when it was downloading I noticed that it was going to be around 6 hours to download 122MBs.
I was going to put it on an older computer (Win ME with 64MB RAM)
I am pretty sure it was the correct one too! So, not sure what was going on there. Gave up anyway, couldn't be bothered with that.
Maybe I should re check that?

1123115 2010-07-28 11:38:00 I went to the Ad aware site - trial downloads (www.lavasoft.com) I was looking at the Paid versions.

You are correct -- the free version from Download . com (download.cnet.com) is 122MB.

Product comparison (www.lavasoft.com)

Strange how the pro, which meant to have more features is less in size ??

1123116 2010-07-28 11:43:00 I will wait till I get more RAM into the computer and then try it again, as I think that it recommends minimum 512MB.

Cheers, LL

At the moment I'm using MSE plus Win 7 Firewall and a couple of other things.

3 Clones coming up to test.

1. Nod32
2. MSSE
3. Adaware

Did you ever give Comodo a run on that drive?
