| 838778 | 2009-12-11 20:19:00 | PART II... 1) Internet transfer for pay anyone working! 2) CC pay online... FAIL, but my fault. The ANZ system fails to track failures when the expiry date is wrong. I called 0800, to moan about rejected transaction this a.m. I had entered the wrong expiry date, and it said insufficient funds... THUS this is a valid way to check if a credit card number is REAL without it being monitored by the ANZ. Each failure by a CC transaction is LOGGED, but my one WAS NOT. Thus a fraudster could use this as a valid way to check if a CC is still OK and the bank would not know!!! Anyway it all worked when I fixed my mistake. According to the guy at the CC answerphone the transaction should never have been rejected and thus the advice I had yesterday was wrong. The transaction limits of the bank online activity do not integrate with the credit card transactions at all. Thus I probably had typed the wrong expiry date yesterday too. |
