| 837881 | 2009-12-08 23:01:00 | The volcanoes in Auckland are a type that does not erupt in the same cone. Last one was rangi 800 years ago. Cycle estimated at 30 000 years and the cones are concentrated in one place just the isthmus no cones out west. Cant wait for next one we need more scoria anyway. |

| 837882 | 2009-12-08 23:16:00 | There's around 50 volcanoes, but they can't erupt because of Land Usage and zoning restrictions, plus they were disbursed years ago as another "full and final settlement" of a treaty claim. | R2x1 (4628) | ||

The 150 year cylcle biggie earthquake is overdue when it comes dont ask me for any symapthy or money for victims. If people there have half a brain get the **** outta the place. eeeerm its the best place for a capital, in a big earthquake it'll get all the bureaucrats in one hit ------**** actually thats perhaps not a good idea, all we'll be left with is John Banks |

| 837887 | 2009-12-09 08:06:00 | Never felt it but got close on the office sweep to predict the magnitude. Some people feel them all but must have got desensitised living in Wanganui where we had a 6.7 when I lived there, a decent shake that was, knocked my chimney over. | Twelvevolts (5457) | ||
