Removed frostwire from a customers PC yesterday, doing the same thing, instant speedup. As for being safe -- Its mostly used for downloading pirated material, music, movies etc. (not all items are pirated but a high percentage are) There are legal torrents / Downloads. Its not always the program thats the problem, its the content thats being downloaded/Seeded. i went into msconfig and disabled it from start up in there will that do? Yep -- That should stop it from running. Reboot and see what happens ( speed wise) |
