1124225 2010-08-03 06:06:00 I have a fairly old computer running XP , it only has usb ports .At present i have a 320 GB My Book ,which is nearly full i would like to upgrade to a larger volume external drive , my question is " If i buy a 1TB My book or similar can i run the two together on the same machine at the same time ? "

I do believe you can have as many drives as there are letters of the alphabet. After that, I'm not sure.

You can have well beyond that because you can mount a volume in an empty folder, how many empty folders can you make? I'm sure you'd get bored eventually...
