They also offer a diploma consisting of CCNP(Cisco Certified Network Professional), MCITP:Enterprise Server(Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional) and MCTS(Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) along with the CompTIA Security+ Certification. This will cost $16,500-$17,500 and will take 38 weeks. the class schedules are 4 hours per day + 3 hours home study. This course can only be taken in Auckland/Wellington however. |

You should see what people charge for A+ alone or Network+ - Auldhouse charges like $4-6k alone. Alternatively you can just book your IT external exams at a Prometric centre and study yourself at home and buy your own books and stuff .. Usually $7k is a full year of tuition fees as a full time student. They should be issued with a NZQA IT Diploma external certification IT exams may be extra but they provide all your internal and external study books. The Diploma includes not only the external tests but also a range of internal topics, like touch typing, intro to computer, MS Office, perhaps a bit of dreamweaver and linux, as well as things like COMPTIA Project Mgmt ... |

Or maybe he means that with a lot of IT roles like Cisco, you can save a lot of money by studying at home by yourself and then make an appt at a Prometric examination centre and sit the exam. Those IT courses which have a external test, tend to be studied with a huge textbook. Thou some places do have 12 weeks as above which they provide instructors, and some other places are a full time student for a year which they also provide you other stuff like intro to computers ... but they give you a diploma - useful for those coming out of high school and overall the most affordable package, you pay this amount but you get this much stuff in return. |
